Students the portfolio review will take place on Wednesday May 25, 4:30-7:00 pm, 801 S. Grand Ave, 6th floor in the Cal State LA downtown campus. There are some open spaces in the schedule, if you are interested in them let me know before Wednesday or you might be able to see people on Wednesday.

Alexis Antuna (Production)
Alexis Antuna is the creative director for LA Relaxed, a sustainable/eco-friendly fashion line based in Los Angeles. In 2009 Alexis started his own fashion consulting company called Six Twelve where he ran private label production, branding consulting and design for startup fashion lines. In 2012 he worked as a production manager and showroom coordinator for J.A.K Design Corp. a private label and multi brand manufacture. He has since worked overseeing production for off-price companies, start-up brands and retailers like TJX/TK Europe, Scrapes & Gravel, Amazon and Nordstrom. Alexis studied at CSULA majoring in Fashion Merchandising and also held a position as public relations manager for FADS (Fashion Association of Design Students). Currently as a creative director for LA Relaxed he works closely with their designer to make sure every garment fits the brands aesthetic and meets it’s ethical and sustainable standards. LA Relaxed has now decided to venture in to men’s apparel and assigned Alexis as the head designer/merchandiser for the capsule collection made entirely from upcycled RECOVER Text. fibers. His vision is to expand the brands visibility globally to make consumers aware of the importance of shopping ethical and sustainable.
Jessica Taft Langdon (Shoe Designer)
jessica taft langdon is an american footwear designer who was trained in new york city and milan.
having worked for a number of years for such diverse brands as coach, proenza schouler, catherine malandrino, alexander wang, & everlane, she has taken her extensive experience westward, and settled in los angeles.
after fruitlessly searching the eastern seaboard for any existing footwear factories in which to develop american-made shoes, jessica was thrilled to find a small enclave of footwear craftspeople and factories in southern california. the entrepreneurial spirit of l.a., as well as the high quality shoe making that she found in the area have inspired her to start creating footwear that reflects her own personal aesthetic, under the name the palatines.
